We Are Your Dealership Alternative

Are you dissatisfied with your current dealership or auto repair shop? Has your dealership closed, forcing you to find a new place to get your car serviced or repaired? Does your family own more than one make or model of auto, SUV or light truck, causing you the inconvenience of having to take them to different dealerships for maintenance, repair or service?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then you will love our auto repair service. We have a reputation for outstanding customer service and the extremely professional and knowledgeable technical ability of our staff. When we take a look at your vehicle, you will receive the benefit of our high level of automotive repair training and certification, along with our commitment to providing you with honest answers to your questions and concerns. We can service and repair all vehicle makes and models and still maintain your manufacturer's warranty. You do not have to go to the dealership for your auto repair or scheduled maintenance. Contact us at our shop to schedule your next automotive repair or service.

We perform all the manufacturer's scheduled maintenance services listed in your owner's manual. You do not have to go to the dealer for these services to maintain your car's warranty. Under the Magnusom-Moss Warranty Act, which is federal legislation, you are allowed to have your vehicle serviced by any competent independent auto repair shop to keep your warranty in force. All you have to do is the following:

  • Have your vehicle serviced at the intervals specified in your owner's manual
  • Keep good records
  • Verify that each invoice includes the date of service, odometer reading, make, model, vehicle identification number, and parts used

We've got you covered. Our invoices include all the required information plus a clear explanation of what was done on your vehicle.

We Service All Foreign and Domestic Makes and Models

Before your domestic vehicle becomes a domestic pain, let us diagnose and repair any problem your car might have. We service GM vehicles – such as Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saturn. We also sevice Ford, Lincoln and Mercury as well as Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles. If we find something that should be covered under your manufacturer's warranty, we will send you back to the dealer with the proper documentation and digital photos if necessary to have the repair done for free.

We also service all European makes and models, including BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche and Volvo. Having been in the automotive service and repair business since 1980, we have the experience and skills needed to handle your European car.

Our technicians are also fluent in Japanese and Korean automotive repair. Honda, Toyota and Nissan are among the most popular cars on the road as well as their higher-end counterparts. We service all makes and models of Infiniti, Acura, and Lexus. We are skilled in handling your Subaru, Mitsubishi, Mazda, and Korean-made Hyundai. Although we don't speak the language, our mechanics can service and repair your auto, which means all makes and models of Japanese and Korean vehicles.

Preventive Maintenance

The best way to minimize more serious breakdowns and the higher costs associated with automotive repair is by doing routine maintenance.

Preventive vehicle maintenance is simply what the manufacturer of your vehicle suggests getting done to keep your vehicle going. Whether you have a car or truck we provide the maintenance services to keep it running well.

Brake Service

Brakes wear out over time requiring service. How long they last is based on various things such as driving conditions, how you brake and other factors. For this reason, it is necessary to inspect your brakes regularly. We are familiar with the driving conditions here in Illinois and know that your brakes need care. So we provide a complimentary inspection with every service to make sure that any problem is taken up before it becomes a major concern.

Transmission Work

The transmission may well be one of the most complicated and important components of your car or truck. That's why it's important to trust its maintenance and repair to a full-service shop. There are a number of problems that can be resolved simply while others may require a complete transmission overhaul. Our skilled mechanics have the training and expertise to properly diagnose your transmission problem and get you back on the road.

Oil Changes

When you have your oil changed at our shop we do not just drain and fill your oil. When we perform an oil change your car will receive a complete safety check including lights, front end, steering, suspension, brakes, all fluid levels, cabin air filter, engine air filter, and tires. We then fill your engine with the correct oil weight and viscosity recommend for your engine. A FRAM® oil filter will be installed. Yes, there are cheaper ways to do an oil change, but not here at Wil-Ridge Auto Service.

Emergency Repairs

We are here for any kind of trouble with your car or truck. We know your vehicle breaking down can be frustrating and even worse it can leave you stranded. So we provide the best service we can to make you feel at ease during such a time. If you ever need emergency vehicle service, call us. We can arrange to have your vehicle towed in addition to repairing your vehicle so you can relax and let us take care of it.
